Thanksgiving Day: Dining Out in Austin

An amount of formality may be present at a dinnerNot everyone is qualified to cook a complete Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all of the fixin's. Knives and hot things can be dangerous. If you are looking for an alternative on Thanksgiving Day, there are quite a few good choices in Austin this year.

Reservations 512-851-9300. Walk-ins are also welcome. Serving from 10:30am -6pm. Price is $13.95 per person, $6.95 kids 12 and under. Includes smoked turkey or ham, sides, and dessert.

Open 11am - 7pm. Price $15.49; turkey, ham, chicken or vegetarian option. Sides, dressing, biscuits included. Dessert is an extra charge. No reservation needed.

Offers a traditional Thanksgiving buffet dinner from 10:30 - 4pm. Price is $22.95 per person, $10.95 children 12 and under.

Offering a Thanksgiving buffet of traditional fare plus a seafood selection. Reservations are definitely required: Call 512-685-8300. The fixed price is $68 per person.

Open noon - 8pm. Serving both regular menu and a traditional Thanksgiving 3-course meal. $29.95 per person. Reservations highly recommended. Downtown call 512-482-9000. Arboretum call 512-794-8300.

Open 10:30 am - 10 pm, both locations. Prices are a la carte. The menu includes traditional turkey and ham options. (They are serving their turkey dinner plate daily until Jan. 1st).

Open 11 am - 7 pm. Traditional turkey dinner is $16.95. There is a vegetarian option, a kid option, and dessert costs extra. "It's a really good dinner" they told me, and no reservations accepted or needed.

Open 5pm - 9:15pm. Serving a 5-course menu with options and traditional Thanksgiving sides. Cost is $85 adults, $50 kids. Reservations required: 512-391-7162

Open 24 hours (I should have known that they knever klose) with a Thanksgiving menu in addition to a select menu of classic deli items. Price is $15.95 adults, $6.95 kids. Reservations not accepted or needed.
